A couple of weeks before Thanksgiving, Rhett, Chase and I ran in the 5k Turkey Trot. It was Chase and my first official 5k race. Chase is fast! He passed me and never looked back. He obviously gets his speed from his dad. Rhett finished 3rd overall and Chase finished 2nd in his age group. I finished 4th in my age group so I wasn't too disappointed. It was fun to do something like this with Chase. He wants to run another race in the spring. He is a good little runner. It was a fun day. It was made even more fun because we each won a raffle prize. Mine was a $200 giftcard to Walmart, not bad for a 27 minute run!

Thanksgiving
I've discovered after checking all my friends blogs that I am pretty darn slow about posting events to my blog. Oh well, maybe I will be speedier next year.
Thanksgiving was held at my home. My parents and all my siblings except Dan (who lives in Georgia) were there. I have also discovered that when you are the hostess you rarely take time to get good pictures. Thus, no actual photos of the whole group, the whole table, etc. These photos of the kids will have to do. One of the pictures is of my brother, Fraser, eating the entire turkey leg. The funniest part are the looks of his daughters as he does this. It was a great weekend and as usual I feel so thankful for all the blessings I have in my life.
